Speak AI: generative AI basics for leaders
Speak AI is a bite-sized online course that teaches SME and social service leaders the basics of generative AI in plain language. It covers what the tools do, where they go wrong, what the PDPA means for your data, and how to find your first opportunity and lead your people through the change.
You are being asked to decide on something nobody has explained
Your team uses AI tools. Vendors are pitching more. Your board wants a view. And much of what you read about AI is written for engineers, or for hype.
You do not need to become technical. You need enough understanding to ask good questions, spot a weak pitch, and lead the conversation with your team. That is what this course gives you.
What you will learn
- What generative AI is, in plain terms.
- How tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot produce their answers.
- What AI does well, and where it gets things wrong.
- Data and privacy: what leaders need to know, including the PDPA.
- Finding your first AI opportunity, starting from your strategic goals.
- Leading your people through AI change.
How it works
Short lessons, each under 10 minutes, that you can take on your phone between meetings. Each one ends with a question to take back to your team.
Short versions of the lessons will also appear on TikTok (@ryocontentplay) and YouTube (@ryoleong).
Who it is for
Owners and managers of Singapore SMEs, and leaders of social service organisations, who want to understand AI well enough to make good decisions about it.
